Fast Growth HR Technology Company Named Official Sponsor for Pinnacle Event March 25-28

March 24, 2022 (Brooklyn, N.Y.) – The Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) in association with Justworks today announced a new partnership agreement that names the cloud-based software platform offering small and medium-sized businesses access to benefits, payroll, human resources, and compliance support, an official sponsor of the 2022 Isobel Cup Playoffs. The PHF’s pinnacle event takes place March 25-28 at AdventHealth Center Ice near Tampa Bay, Florida.

“The PHF is excited to welcome Justworks to our family of partners and are grateful for their recognition and support of our athletes,” said Tyler Tumminia, PHF Commissioner. “New partnerships are a testament to the PHF’s expanding business model and the growing interest for professional women’s hockey across North America. The 2022 Isobel Cup Playoffs in Tampa Bay is going to be a very special event to cap this historic season.”

The partnership with Justworks is another step forward in the continued growth of the PHF, which designates 50 percent of league sponsorship revenue to help increase player salaries. A commitment from the PHF Board of Governors to invest $25 million over the next three years will further enhance the player experience and provide more opportunities for elite athletes to pursue their professional hockey dreams.

“Justworks is proud to support an organization that is creating more equitable access to opportunities for women and inspiring future athletes,” said Julie Brodsky, Vice President of Marketing at Justworks. “This aligns with our own focus on leveling the playing field for underrepresented founders and helping more businesses grow with confidence. For athletes and entrepreneurs, the path to success is challenging, but even more so for women, and specifically women of color. We're delighted to support The Premier Hockey Federation and be the official sponsor of the 2022 Isobel Cup Playoffs. Good luck to all the athletes participating in this year’s event!”

The 2022 Isobel Cup playoff sponsorship provides Justworks with a significant advertising presence, including two in-ice logos, broadcast inventory in all five games, plus digital banner ads across the PHF’s online network as all six teams compete for the top prize in professional women’s hockey. Preliminary round matchups will see the Boston Pride take on the Buffalo Beauts, and the Metropolitan Riveters against the Minnesota Whitecaps on Friday, March 25. The winners will face the Toronto Six and Connecticut Whale in semifinals on Sunday, March 27. The first four playoff games stream live across the United States exclusively on ESPN+, in Canada to TSN and TSN Direct subscribers, and through the ESPN International distribution network. The championship final on Monday, March 28 airs live at 9:00 p.m. ET across North America on ESPN2 and TSN2.
